It’s time to mark your calendars for the new school year. As parents and students should know by now, school is back in session this Wednesday morning. But it’s not long until holidays and half days pop up.
While the holidays were on the district calendar posted last spring, several of the half days aren’t.
September 2 – Labor Day – Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
September 12 – K-8 Early Release Day (Neary and Trottier at 11:20, Finn and Woodward at noon)
September 12 – Trottier Curriculum Night
September 30 – Rosh Hashanah – Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
October 9 – Yom Kippur – Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
October 14 – Columbus Day (Heritage Day) – Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
October 24 – Early Release for Finn and Woodward Schools for parent-teacher conferences
November 1 – Early Release for Finn and Woodward Schools for parent-teacher conferences
November 5 – Professional Development, no school for K-12 Northborough and Southborough public school students
November 11 – Veteran’s Day – Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
November 14 – Neary & Trottier Schools Early Dismissal for parent-teacher conferences
November 15 – Neary & Trottier Schools Early Dismissal for parent-teacher conferences
November 27 – K-12 Early Dismissal going into Thanksgiving break. ARHS dismissal is 10:36 am, Trottier and Neary at 11:20 am, and Woodward and Finn at noon.
November 28-29 – Thanksgiving Recess – Due to the holiday break, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
December 20 – Schools Early Release – Southborough and Northborough public schools all begin the Winter break with an early dismissal. ARHS gets out at 10:36 am, Neary and Trottier at 11:20 am, and Finn and Woodward at noon.
December 23 – No School – Winter Recess – Due to the holiday break, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
January 20 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
February 6 – Trottier Early Release for parent-teacher conferences
February 17-21 – February Vacation – No school – February Break, No school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
March 3 – Professional Development – No School for K-12 Northborough and Southborough public school students
April 2 – K-6 Schools Early Release for parent-teacher conferences. Neary gets out at 11:20 am, Finn and Woodward at noon.
April 10 – Good Friday Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
April 20-24 – Spring Break – No school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
May 25 – Memorial Day – Due to the holiday, no school in K-12 Northborough-Southborough public schools
June 16 – Potential Last day of School, early dismissal – If there are no school cancellations during the year, this will be the last day of Northborough and Southborough public schools, with an early dismissal. (Each cancellation adds one day to the calendar.)
