Throughout the year, the Southborough Senior Center is credited with organizing great and varied programs for town seniors. In fact, it’s the Council of the Aging that’s behind the scenes. And Friends of the Council on Aging’s financial support is an essential part of that.
Friends of the COA are holding their annual Autumn Fair fundraiser. This year, it’s scheduled for this Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Senior Center.
As always, they’ll be selling baked goods, hand knitted hats, mittens and scarves, jewelry and “attic treasures” (new/gently used small items). They will also be raffling goods and services including gift cards to local restaurants. To that end, they are seeking donations from the community.
They’ll be selling whole apple pies you can dish out at Thanksgiving and other baked goods. (If you plan to donate baked goods, those can be brought in on Friday, November 22 from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm or the next morning before 9:00 am.)
In the kitchen, they’ll be selling the usual lunch fare:
Hot Dogs, Chili, Chips, Apple Crisp with Ice Cream, Coffee, Tea, Water, Cider, and Donuts for the early birds.
