Next Tuesday is a Professional Development Day for district public schools. Some of you may be looking for something to occupy your kids that day. If you have kids in grades K-5, Chestnut Hill Farm is offering an option worth a look.
On March 3rd, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, kids can play at being a “Farmer for a Day”:
No school today? Give your child the experience of being a junior farmer! Kids will help care for farm animals, learn about farm-fresh food, hike the trails, create natural crafts, and explore the farm from the eyes of its most important team member: the farmer!
Little farmers will come home with stories of adventure, a deeper understanding of where their food comes from, a sense of responsibility, and memories made with new friends (people and animals!).
This drop-off program is designed for children in grades kindergarten through 5th. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. This program is always popular, so early registration is recommended!
Once your child is registered we will send you an emergency contact form to complete and return before the program begins, plus detailed information about policies & procedures and what to bring for the day.
Registration closes two days before the event. If it is within two days and you wish to register, please email chestnuthillfarm@thetrustees.org or call 508-658-3112 to find out if there is space remaining.
