A little good news for Southborough families that have been yearning for a local camp option. For one week in August, Southborough Recreation will offer soccer camps.
The program will be run by BEST Soccer (not Rec staff) the week of Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14.
Best Soccer Camp will focus on a different technical topic each day. Players will learn importance of a good warm up through fun games and activities. Coaches will develop the basic foot skills, passing and shooting through structured games with each player actively involved. Players will also learn the basics of soccer match play via 3×3 tournaments focusing on positions, communication and interest in soccer while still having lots of fun! What to bring? Plenty of water, shin guards, sneakers or cleats and a nut free snack.
Options are:
- 1 hour for 3- 5 year olds (9:00 to 10:00 am) for $95
- Half day for 5-14 year olds (9:00 to 10:00 am) for $150
- Full day for 7-14 year olds (9:00 am to 3:00 pm) for $235

Great initiative for those who like soccer.The kids will learn a lot about soccer in the camp and will also develop interest in the sport.
