With so many area camps cancelled, a resident reached out to me about his plans to offer a small, specialized camp/clinic in town.
Southborough’s Nathan Rhind and three of his former Algonquin Boys Soccer teammates are holding soccer training camps. Rising 6-9th grade boys and girls can register for either one or two weeks in July.
[Southborough Rec is also offering soccer camp options. That is for ages 3-14, but only during the week of August 10th.]
The ARHS alum will offer teach players for 2 hours per weekday, at a rate of $200/week. Each time slot will be capped at 20 players. The camp is offered the weeks of July 20th and July 27th.
- 6-7th graders will train from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.
- 8th-9th graders will train from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.
Below is Rhind’s message:
Looking for a safe and fun way for your child to stay active during quarantine? Disappointed about recent camp cancellations and staring down two more months of close quarters and quarreling siblings? Look no further.
My name is Nathan Rhind and I am a longtime Southborough resident, Algonquin class of 2019, and a rising sophomore at Boston College. My friends Armaan Munsiff, Matt White, Alex Lemieux, and I are holding a coed soccer camp the weeks of July 20-24 and July 27-31 for rising 6th to 9th graders. The best part: no experience necessary! Just show up with a positive attitude and we’ll handle the rest!
The Southborough Soccer Development Program started with a simple mission: to provide Southborough kids with the opportunity to get out of the house and get exercise during these troubling times. At SSDP, we are committed to stringently following all CDC guidelines and ensuring that our environment is safe for all campers. To learn more about us, click here.
Spots are filling fast and, as we have a max capacity because of COVID-19 guidelines, make sure to register today to save your spot! It is non-binding and will ensure you receive all further updates from the SSDP team. To register, click here.
For a week of fun, laughs, and a whole lot of goals, sign up for SSDP today.
The camp will register participants on a first come, first served basis and doesn’t indicate it’s limited to Southborough residents. So act quickly.
