A group of Southborough teens is offering free tutoring this summer. (Given the state of affairs, sessions will be conducted remotely.)
Iridium Tutoring is a group of six friends who will offer help for students on a variety of K-12 subjects including Math, Science, Programming, Economics, Writing, Reading, History, Languages, Test Prep and more.
Rising freshman Charles Tang reached out to me about the service. He explained that he enjoyed teaching/tutoring friends. He reached out to some of his friends to see if they were interested in teaming up to offer tutoring as a community service. As for the decision not to ask for money, Tang opined that education should be free to everyone, without barriers.
The tutors hope they can be of service to students who were struggled with subjects in the past, who want to prepare for the coming school year, or who are preparing for upcoming college prep tests. Anyone who wants to take advantage of the service can apply via the website here.
Below are more details from the website.
During the time of a pandemic, we understand the struggles many individuals face finding a way to learn. Which is why I have teamed up with several other qualified individuals to simplify the process for you. Our Iridium Tutoring service strives to bring accessible and cost-free education to learners of all levels, as education should be something everyone has access to.

This is great. Good job and glad to see the kids are doing the right things for the community.
Keep going.
And I just donate my support through the gofund me. Keep going.
I was confused by your comment, since they aren’t accepting funds. It turns out that since I posted, they created a gofundme fundraiser that is shared on their website. But it isn’t to support their work, it’s in support of Big Sisters of Central Mass/Metrowest.
Then my doantion to Big Sisters. Thank you.
