SPD recovered stolen jewelry and heirlooms, charging suspect for Southborough burglary

On Thursday afternoon, the Southborough Police Department announced that they are pressing charges against an alleged burglar of a Southborough home.

The Facebook post states that a Pine Hill Road was broken into last week. The SPD tracked down all of the valuable stolen items, and charged a suspect.

Here’s the announcement from Facebook giving credit to the investigating officer and detective for their work:

Burglary suspect charged by the Southborough Police Department.

After a thorough investigation by Patrolman John Officer and Detective Keith Nichols, [a former Ashland resident]* (currently reported to be homeless), has been charged with Breaking & Entering During the Daytime to Commit a Felony; Trespass; and Larceny over $1200. [The accused] is being charged with breaking into a home on Pine Hill Road this week, and stealing over $10,000 worth of jewelry; a large sum of cash; and various other items from the residence. During the course of his investigation, Det. Nichols was able to recover ALL of the stolen jewelry from area pawn shops (which included priceless family heirlooms). Det. Nichols was also able to locate stolen property that was reportedly taken during crimes that occurred in both Billerica and Framingham.

A job well done by both Patrolman John Officer and Detective Keith Nichols!
