The Northborough-Southborough district’s Preschool Program just announced that there are openings in this fall’s program. Here is the message:
Due to shifting enrollments, we currently have a small amount of open spots available in our preschool program. We have half day sessions that run Tuesday through Friday from 9:00-11:15 AM OR 12:30-2:45 PM, and full day sessions that run Mondays 9:00-12:00 PM and Tuesdays through Fridays from 9:00-2:30 PM. Our preschool offers a well developed, hands on, investigatory curriculum that is delivered in a creative way to children. Our current small learning pods allow us to deliver our programming in a socially distant, safe way to maximize the health and safety of all of our students and staff. If you are interested in learning more about our preschool and open spots please contact Jennifer Henry, Early Childhood Administrator, at jhenry@nsboro.k12.ma.us or 508-485-3176 x 63106.
Earlier this summer, the district posted more details for PreK parents about the school’s reopening plans. That includes:
Each cohort will participate in learning activities and routines across the school day with minimal mixing of students and staff between cohorts. Arrival/dismissal/and transitions between school spaces will be staggered. Each classroom will be set up in a socially distanced way (to allow for 6 feet of distance between students and staff) with small group learning areas and individual student spaces to maximize developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Learning activities will be flexible and will occur outdoors when possible. Each cohort will have built-in movement breaks, and scheduled opportunities for recess and mask breaks.
