Preschoolers and families are being invited to come back to the Southborough Library for some fun. Two outdoors series will be held on the Library’s lawn. One is the extension of a yoga program launched last month. The new addition is the return of in-person story times.
The programs will be weather dependent.
For now, patrons still aren’t allowed inside the building. Though, you can arrange to have books and materials (even museum/venue passes) ready for curbside pickup while you’re there.
The programs are free, but pre-registration is requested through Southborough Recreation’s website.
Below are more details:

Story Time on the Lawn
Thursdays, September 24 – October 22, 10:30 – 11:00 am
Miss Kim has been holding her live story times over Facebook since spring. (Those will still be offered live on Facebook on Tuesdays from 10:30 – 11:00 am through the end of this month.)
Next week, she’ll resume reading stories to an in-person audience. The new series looks like a mashup of the old pajama story times on the lawn and the preschool story times with crafts traditionally held in the Children’s Room. (Although, it’s been so long, the entire concept will be new for some of the tots.)
It’s story time on the library lawn! Each week will feature two stories and a craft. Please bring a blanket or towel to sit on.
This program is for kids aged 2-5, plus siblings and parents/caregivers.
Children 3 and over must wear masks. Families will be asked to properly space out on the lawn.
