This week, members of the community can learn how to make decorative fall arrangements. The free special workshop is being offered by the Southborough Gardeners.
It’s the second of two events arranged to support the Southborough Food Pantry. I’m told that last week’s was a success. Thanks to volunteers and participants, they were able to deliver 15 small floral vase arrangements to the food pantry last week.
Participants also should have walked away with new tips/skills for making their own arrangements at home. This week offers another chance to learn.
The focus for the October 29th workshop is dried and succulent arrangements on small gourds and pumpkins.
The Gardeners will provide all of the supplies needed. Participation is free, but space is limited. Pre-registration is required. To register, or for more details, call 508-361-3516 or email musicmom.landes@gmail.com.
The event will be led by SG’s Michele Landes. Other Gardeners members will be making arrangements and able to “offer assistance to any novices who may ask for help”.
The workshop will be held at 12 Wyndemere Drive in the garage on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:30 am.
The workshops are just one of the ways the Southborough Gardeners are working to support the town. Stay tuned for more news from them soon on an upcoming sale and more beautification efforts.
