  • Healthy Garden Recipes (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ zoom: Free workshop by Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens on preparing healthy meals with the ingredients from your backyard garden. It’s part of the Southborough Library’s “Dig In! Garden Information Series” for anyone 12 years or older. Pre-registraton is required. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Library’s Preschool Virtual Story Time (10:30 am – 11:00 am) @ Facebook: Children’s Librarian “Miss Kim” will hold a story time for ages 2-5 (siblings welcome). Each week will feature themed stories on Facebook Live with Ms. Kim! No registration necessary (Note: you don’t have to have a Facebook account to watch the Library’s videos, which are still viewable after the live event is over.)

  • Federal Holiday: Veterans Day means no public school. The Transfer Station, Southborough Library, and all other Town municipal buildings are also closed for the day.
  • Virtual 5K For Veterans Day : ARHS Boys Cross Country Team and Operation Tomahawk are leading a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project®. It’s part of a national initiative by WWP’s Student Ambassadors to encourage students in grades 6-12 to use Veterans Day to “Honor their Courage”. The Virtual 5K can be run on or around November 11th. Run/walk and make a donation. Every dollar raised transforms the lives of America’s injured veterans and helps provide lifesaving programs and services that empower wounded warriors as they take on their next mission in life.   • Virtual legal advice for seniorsElder Law advice (10:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ phone or zoom: An Elder Law attorney who has given many seminars at the Senior Center will offer Southborough seniors free individualized legal advice during scheduled remote sessions.Attorney Bergeron will “see” participants for 15 minutes over phone or Zoom. To sign up, call the senior center at (508) 229-4453 to book a time slot during the window. Attorney Bergeron will follow up the conversation with a letter to you discussing yourmeeting and will, if necessary, follow up with additional advice, free of charge.   • Veteran’s Day Ceremony (11:00 – 11:40 am) @ All Wars Memorial on the common across from the library. : The Town will hold its annual observance of Veteran’s Day, preceded by a short parade by Southborough Veterans from the Community House. For more details, see dedicated post.

  • Seated Chair Yoga (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ zoom: The program is for current members of Friends of the Council on Aging only. Pre-registration is required. For details see page 8 of the Senior Center newsletter.
