This afternoon, the Southborough Police Department posted news that this morning’s search of a missing woman ended in a recovery rather than a rescue.
The SPD’s Facebook message updated:
A recovery effort was completed late this morning, from the Sudbury reservoir off of Central Street. A body, believed to be that of the missing female described in our earlier Facebook post, was located and transported by the Medical Examiners Office under the direction of the Worcester County DA’s Office. At this point in time, it does not appear that there was any foul play involved. Any questions or information regarding this incident, should be directed to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office or the Massachusetts State Police.
As I shared before 9:00 am this morning, SPD Chief Kenneth Paulhus informed that the department (with K9s) was searching for a Framingham woman who appeared to be in emotional distress. At 9:18 am this morning, the SPD followed up with details on Facebook:
Officers from the Southborough Police, Framingham Police, and various state and local agencies are currently searching for a missing/endangered 45 year-old black female (a resident of Framingham, Ma) in the vicinity of Central Street and Fayville Park. There is a large police presence in the area at this time; and we want to re-affirm that there is no threat of any danger to the general public.
If anyone has any information regarding this missing female, please contact the Southborough Police Department at (508) 485-2121. Thank you.
In this morning’s call from Chief Paulhus, he explained that the woman had been missing since Saturday. Her vehicle was located on Central Street on Sunday afternoon.
