Two small business owners notified me that they are opening their doors this weekend. One is a new downtown shop. Another is a home-based business.
Here are the details on both.
Downton Exchange
3 East Main Street (Downtown)
The new shop is a consignment store focused on “upcycled apparel”. While tomorrow is the Grand Opening, that day is by appointment only.
Please join me on Saturday 21st November as Downton Exchange opens its doors for the first time. The shop is opening with over 500 items of wonderful gently used items of upscale women’s clothing, bags, shoes, and other apparel.
Due to COVID there are restrictions on how many people are allowed in the shop at once. So, please book an appointment to reserve a time on opening day. . .
I can’t wait to welcome you with a glass of bubbles to celebrate on the 21st. See you soon!
The appointments are to shop, not to sell. As a bonus for the first 30 customers, the shop is offering jute reusable shopping bags and pens. As of this afternoon, the couple of appointments available were for the first two time slots. (There were also waitlists for later hours.) You can check here.
The doors will open for regular hours starting this Sunday. You can find those posted here.

(For those of you interested in selling your goods, owner Karen Pim noted on Instagram that she’ll be opening that opportunity up after Thanksgiving. You can find more details on the process here.)
