[Editor’s Note: The event is being postponed to December 12th due to forecast rain.]
Every year, I enjoy sharing the news that Santa Claus is coming to town. I’m happy to confirm that he will again this year.
As usual, the big guy’s visit will take place the first Saturday in December (the 5th). However, it won’t be anything like the traditional event.
Santa won’t be flying into town. Kids can’t crowd around him to hug him or shake his hand. And no one will be sitting on his lap at the Community House.
Instead, the Jolly Old Elf will cheer in the Christmas season through two drive by events. (Yes, he is following the footsteps of the Easter Bunny last spring. That event appeared to be a success.)
Starting at 10:00 am, Santa will wave to residents from a fire engine as he is driven around town.
From 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, Families can drive through the Public Safety complex to greet Santa.
He’ll be standing in front of the building, waving with his pals from Disney’s Frozen, Elsa, Anna and Olaf.
A big thanks to Southborough Kindergroup and public safety personnel for the good news.
Updated (12/4/20 9:06 am): The event has been postponed one week due to the weather.
Will Santa’s root be posted anywhere so we know if our street will be visited?
I asked for that, but I’m not sure that I’ll be getting it. If I can get it, I will share before the event.
Thanks for the reply. That would be great.
