The Town of Southborough reported that a second resident has succumbed to the Covid-19 virus. At this point, I have no details. (And whether or not I eventually share them will depend on whether his/her family members publicly share the cause of death.)

In late June, the Town’s website was updated to indicate 1 death was officially linked to Covid-19. The subsequent obituary for 68 year old Ramon D. Altamirano shared that his death on Tuesday, June 23rd was due to complications from COVID-19. This morning, the Town’s website increased the total number of deaths to 2.

The news comes as Southborough hits another record high. The Town has now confirmed more cases within 14 days than ever before. Plus, after a slight dip, active cases are back up to 65 cases, near peak again.

12 more residents were confirmed positive this morning, bring the Town’s total to 198. In the past 14 days, 62 cases were confirmed, with 30 of those in the past week. Below are my updated charts.
