The Southborough Library is promoting the Young Scientists STEM Beginnings series for children. In past years, the Library has hosted the YFCP-run program for the community.* Of course, this year the series is being offered online:

Young Scientists STEM Beginnings flyerThis 6 week series will learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time and simple experiments. This is an interactive class using Zoom and parents/caregivers are encouraged to help their child. A list of materials for families to prepare for each class will be provided weekly.

Reflecting the number of families that held back kindergarteners this year, the program for preschoolers has expanded its ages to 3-6 years old.

The class will be held on Wednesday mornings (10:00 – 10:45 am) starting March 3rd. To register for the series, click here.

*The series is sponsored by the YMCA Family & Community Partnership (YFCP), which is a Massachusetts Coordinated Family & Community Engagement (CFCE) Grant funded by the Department of Early Education and Care and awarded to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts.
