BONETTI, Angelina J. “Angie”, of Randolph, formerly of Southborough, Milton and Cape Cod, passed away peacefully at the Copley Rehab in Stoughton on February 21, 2021, at the age of 97.
Born in Milton on April 18, 1923, to the late Antoinette and Andrew Bonetti, Angie was raised and educated in Milton, where she graduated from Milton High School. An expert in shorthand and an all-around office ace, Angie became a valued employee of Boston Nickel on Bromfield St. in downtown Boston, where she ran everything from the telex to the mimeograph machines, some days also covering the switchboard as well. As she neared retirement, Angie designed her own home in Southborough, and took a nearby job as a statistical typist for Data General in Framingham. When Angie retired from Data General, she was honored with the “Best of the Best” citation, and was awarded her museum worthy statistical typewriter.
In recent years Auntie enjoyed playing Whist with her neighborhood friends and at the Senior Center. She also loved to garden, crochet, bake, shop and go to the beach. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed. “Auntie” is survived by several nephews and nieces, Frank and Dorene Florio of Stoughton, John and Darlene Florio of Waterford, CT, Kevin Florio of Clearlake Park, CA and Carol Florio of Randolph.
The Florio family would like to thank the Copley Rehab in Stoughton and Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care of Angie during these most complicated and trying times.
