- K-8 Early Dismissal: Early dismissal for just the Southborough K-8 schools
- Story Time & Craft (10:30 – 11:00 am) @ zoom: The Southborough Library is partnering with the YMCA of Central MA through the Family and Community Partnership Program to provide weekly story and craft programs. Join Miss Kim for themed stories and a craft on Zoom. A list of materials for the craft will be sent out along with the Zoom link each week. - NSPAC Meeting with Special Ed Attorney (9:30 – 10:30 am) @ virtual: A General Meeting of the The Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council immediately followed by a Q&A with guest Abbe Allexenberg, a Special Education Attorney and Northborough mom. - Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:00 am) @ Facebook Live: Children’s Librarian “Miss Kim” will hold a story time for ages 2-6 (siblings welcome). Each week will feature themed stories on Facebook Live with Ms. Kim! No registration necessary (Note: You don’t have to have a Facebook account to watch the Library’s videos, which are still viewable after the live event is over.)
- QiGong for seniors (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ zoom: For details on weekly class, see dedicated post.
- Joys of Nature – Vernal Pools (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ zoom: This Senior Center program is limited to current members of the Friends of Council on Aging. Pre-registration is required (and it could fill up quickly.) The webinar is part of a nature series led by Joy Marzolf. - Puzzle Exchange Pickup (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Follow up event for those who participated in donating puzzles for the swap last week. Puzzles will be displayed outside on tables.
- Elder Law advice (10:00 – 10:45 am) @ phone or zoom: An Elder Law attorney who has given many seminars at the Senior Center will offer Southborough seniors free individualized legal advice during scheduled remote sessions. Attorney Bergeron will “see” participants for 15 minutes over phone or Zoom. To sign up, call the senior center at (508) 229-4453 to book a time slot during the window. Attorney Bergeron will follow up the conversation with a letter to you discussing your meeting and will, if necessary, follow up with additional advice, free of charge. - Cancelled – Read to a Dog (11:00 – 11:40 am) @ zoom: Children preferably ages 5 and up with some reading ability will read to a certified therapy dog. The event is limited and requires pre-registration. For details on this bi-weekly program, see dedicated post.
Updated (4/16/21 9:46 am): This week’s session the Read to a Dog program is cancelled. (There were no pre-registrations by late in the week – likely due to the start of spring break.) The program will resume bi-weekly on May 1st.
