The Southborough Open Land Foundation will run its Annual Meeting virtually this spring. The public invitation promises “a stunning program by renowned wildlife photographer Peter Cristoph”:
You’ll learn the secrets Peter uses to find and photograph these owls in the wild in their natural habitat!
As is tradition, the annual meeting is when SOLF Trustees announce and celebrate the winner(s) of the Elaine Beals Conservation Award.
Speaking of the Trustees, the program will include a chance for the public to meet them and for the group to bid farewell to outgoing trustees.
As for the “Owls of New England” program, you can expect photos of eight species: Great Horned, Barred, Eastern Screech, Long-Eared, Short-eared, and Snowy-whet Barn Owls. Plus:
beautiful images of a vagrant migrant – a rare visitor called the Great Gray Owl!
Cristoph’s Facebook page offers an advance peek at one of his owl shots:
SOLF’s Annual Meeting is a week from tomorrow, Wednesday, May 12th at 7:00 pm. Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required.
