Algonquin Regional High School’s graduation ceremony took place yesterday. While I’m sharing those details, I’ll also share some from Assabet’s and St. Mark’s graduations.
ARHS
Sunday morning was a hot one to hold a graduation ceremony on the football field. But based on the video and pics, even the humidity didn’t appear to dampen the spirits of the Class of 2021.
Northborough Cable Access streamed the event live for those who couldn’t attend.
Using an anecdote about Albert Einstein, Superintendent Gregory Martineau offered reassurance to the students who didn’t know where they were headed next year.
Class President David Gillingham lauded his class for persevering through the pandemic, helping each other, and refusing to forfeit joy. He told them that while they shouldn’t live in the past, they shouldn’t leave it behind. He encouraged them to keep in touch with teachers and turn high school friends into life-long ones.
Other highlights included Algonquin Principal Sean Bevan’s address and Senior Class Essayists Fabina Karim and Jake Clancy and. You can watch the full ceremony here.

The Algonquin Harbinger’s posted some great photos of the vent on insta:

Assabet also live streamed its ceremony, which took place on June 4th. Unfortunately, it appears the link is no longer posted. But the school shared a slew of pics on Facebook:
St. Mark’s School
The private school in town held its annual Prize Day ceremonies for the Class of 2021 over Memorial Day weekend. You can view a short highlights reel on Facebook here. The school also wrote up a recap you can read here. For photos, click here.
Updated (6/9/21 8:07 am): On Monday, the Community Advocate posted a story that included photos of ARHS’ ceremony. You can see those here.
