Harvard University (Harvard Book Depository in Southborough)
- Harvard Library Depository Assistant (temporary, full-time)
Harvard Library Depository Assistant needed to join our awesome team for three months in Southborough. This is an immediate need with an end date three months from the date of hire. The position requires a reliable person to scan requested materials retrieved from the book warehouse . We’re looking for someone who can work up to 30 hours per week with flexible hours between 7am and 7pm Monday-Friday. The job requires standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 40 pounds. - Business Assistant, Zoning Board of Appeals (part time)
This position performs administrative and technical work, as well as frequent staff support to the Building Department. Must provide a variety of complex professional support in connection with board relations, public records, hearings and decision letters, while educating the applicants on zoning regulations. This position works both independently and as part of a Building Department team with a focus on excellent customer service. Some evening meetings are required.
The pay range for this position (typically 19.5 hrs/week) starts at $22.89 per hour, DOQ. Graduation from an accredited college or university and at least 2 years of experience in an office environment are preferred. Knowledge of municipal government, land use regulations and Mass General Laws is advantageous.

- Administrative Assistant, Council on Aging (part time)
Duties include: a desire to work with senior citizens, superb clerical skills and a penchant for high level customer service that will provide comprehensive administrative support to the department. This position requires detailed record keeping, excellent public relations, patience and the ability to work in a hectic environment. Good communication skills, ability to prioritize work load, and capacity to work with a wide variety of personalities, as well as a sense of humor are essential.
This position is not eligible for benefits or paid leave. The schedule averages 16 hours per week. Pay Range starts at $18.73/hour.

- Recreation Program Coordinator, Recreation Department (full time)
Working under the direction of the Recreation Director, this individual will organize, plan, and supervise a comprehensive community recreation program for all age groups. The employee will assist in the design of brochures, coordination of facility use, maintain inventory, program budgeting, and carry out any other task as directed appropriately by the Recreation Director. This employee supervises up to 80 seasonal employees and must possess exemplary customer service skills.
Computer proficiency in all MS Office programs required; fluency in MyRec.com registration software desired. Social media knowledge is essential.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field is preferred with at least two (2) years prior experience in recreation/activities program management, preferably in a municipal setting or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required. Must be able to work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays on occasion.
Pay range starts at $54,230; this position is eligible for the generous town benefit package.
