In June I shared that Southborough native Storm Large made it through the auditions for America’s Got Talent. Last night, was her next big step on the show. But it’s likely most AGT viewers didn’t see it. The Wildcard round was streamed on the Peacock service, not aired on TV. Now Large is seeking support to make it to the broadcast show.
Large was one of five acts in AGT’s Wildcard round. For the second time on the show, she redefined a well known song in her own soulful style. This time is was an almost unrecognizable version of Cheap Trick’s “I Want You to Want Me”.
You can see that performance above, or all five Wildcard acts here (or via Peacock). The act with the most votes this week will get to move on to the August 24th show on NBC.
To win this round, Large needs to get the most love on twitter.
Voting is open through 7:00 am this Friday, August 13th. To vote for her, tweet a message that includes “#AGT Wildcard @Stormof69”. (They’ll also accept “#AGT Wildcard Storm Large”. You must be 13 years or older and can only tweet one vote per act. For the full voting rules, click here.)
Following her performance, AGT Host asked Large, “How do you feel about America deciding. She responded, “Well, you know, America’s my home and she hasn’t let me down yet. You know, I have faith that she’s going to choose the best Wildcard!”
After last night’s show, Large tweeted:
I’m still shaking. Thank you EVERYONE for tuning into our #AGTWildcard special on @peacocktv ♥️ Each Wildcard brought their whole heart to the Dolby Stage and just crushed‼️Vote for your favorite Wildcard before 7AM THIS FRIDAY♥️ use #AGTWildcard and the name of your favorite⭐️ pic.twitter.com/nGmjyZLBTU

I’ve been a huge fan of hers since Rockstar Supernova. She’s an amazing person with an unbelievably beautiful voice, and I hope she finally gets the recognition she truly deserves! 🤘🏼
