Last week was a stellar one for Algonquin’s Girls Volleyball. The team won three games in a row, improving their record to 5-2. You can read the Telegram’s interview of the team’s co-captains here.
Gonk Football also had a good week, shutting out Groton-Donstable 47-0. The away game was their second win of the season. This Friday, they’ll return to their home field, where they’re encouraging fans to sport pink for Breast Cancer awareness month.
Boys Golf beat Gronstable last Tuesday. Unfortunately, a loss to Wachusett Regional the next day ended their undefeated streak.
Girls Soccer started out the week with a win over Shrewsbury. That was countered by a tie with Shrewsbury and a loss to Hopkinton. Boys Soccer’s three games last week all ended in a tie.
It was a bad week for Field Hockey, which racked up three more losses. Both Boys and Girls Cross Country lost their meets to Shephard Hill. Each team is slated to compete in an invitational this weekend.
