With more activities scheduled to draw in a Heritage Day crowd, more local vendors and community groups may be interested in having booths on the field.
Southborough Recreation asked me to remind the public that the registration deadline to exhibit is this Friday, October 1st. As usual, booths cost $75 for businesses and $35 for non-profits.
Southborough’s Heritage Day festivities are Monday, October 11th 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on the St. Mark’s field (at Route 30 & 85).
For those of you unfamiliar, Heritage Day is the the annual town celebration of our community. While it honors the town’s history, it is rooted in the present, bringing together different segments of the community.
Typically, non-profit community groups use the event to hold fundraisers/raise awareness and local business offer giveaways to promote themselves. There are also a variety of local businesses/crafters/artisans selling their wares. Plus, lots of food trucks/booths.
Confirmed fun for the day includes the annual parade and Knights of Columbus’ Soccer Challenge.
If you are looking to exhibit, be sure to register with Southborough Recreation here.
Another annual event you can count on that day is The Friends of the Southborough Library’s Book Sale in the Library’s parking lot across the street.
Stay tuned for more details on Heritage Day weekend.
