Alfred G. Garavente, 88, of Southborough, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021. He was the devoted husband of the late Ann (Supeck) Garavente who died in 2013.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Rose D. (Pessini) and Alfred J. Garavente.
Al attended the former Peter’s High School and Worcester Boys Trade School. He was an US Navy veteran serving in the Korean conflict. Upon being discharged from the service he worked at several area businesses. His last job before retirement was at Data General in Southborough where he was a waste treatment operator. Al was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening. You could always find him puttering around his yard.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Garavente of Framingham; Sandra Moran and her husband, Paul of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Robert Moran and his wife, Stephanie; Kelly Moran; his great grandchildren, Colin and Elliot Moran.
Visiting hours [were scheduled for] Tuesday, December 28 from 4 to 7pm at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.
A funeral Mass [were scheduled for] Wednesday, December 29, at 10:30 am at St Anne Church, 20 Boston Road, Southborough.
