Last month, a new art studio and gallery run by four Southborough residents opened downtown, Apothecary Artists. Now, the artists are promoting classes:
We are pleased to offer a variety of classes for adults and children that include crafts, fine art , and photography. Each of our four artists, Chelsea Bradway, Patrick Steele, Catherine, Weber and Emily van Nort, bring unique talents and energy to each class.
There are registration caps – and minimums – for all classes. So, sign up quickly for the ones that interest you the most.
Adult classes are offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm beginning this week. Despite the category, most allow students under the age of 18, some as young as eight.
The medium and themes vary with costs ranging from $40-60 per class. Below is the list of the available choices in “Adult Classes” so far:
- Collage Painting Demonstration by Catherine Weber (Ages 12+) – January 5th
- Still Life Sketch Jam by Patrick Steele (Ages 13+) – January 12th
- Art and Reiki by Emily van Nort (Ages 12+) – January 19th, February 16th, and March 16th
- Art with Photography by Chelsea Bradway (Ages 18+ with BYO-wine allowed for ages 21+) – January 26th and March 2nd
- Let’s Get Creative by Chelsea Bradway (Ages 18+) – February 2nd
- What Color is Your Palette? by Patrick Steele (Ages 13+) – February 9th
- Create a Cork Necklace by Catherine Weber (Ages 8+) – February 23rd
- Live Model Drawing by Patrick Steele (Ages 13+) – March 9th
- Encaustic Painting Workshop by Catherine Weber (Ages 12+) – March 23rd

Starting next week, the studio is also offering a number of afternoon classes for 2nd to 8th grade children only. Chelsea Bradway will be leading classes with two different themes. Both take place from 4:00- 5:30 pm and cost $40 per session:
Art with Photography for Kids – Tuesdays
- 2nd to 4th graders – January 11th, February 1st, March 1st
- 5th to 8th graders – January 18th, February 8th, March 8th
- Let’s Get Creative for Kids – Thursdays
2nd to 4th graders – January 13th, February 3rd, March 3rd- 5th to 8th graders – January 20th, February 10th, March 10th
