Obituary: Russell B. Millholland, 76

Russell B. Millholland, 76, of Southborough, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Florida. He was the beloved husband of Janice (Favreau) Millholland for 52 years.

Russ was born and raised in Waltham, and was the son of the late Marion (Gordon) Millholland. He attended Waltham schools and served in the Army, U.S. Security Agency.

Russ recieved his bachelors degree in Finance and Banking from Suffolk University in 1970, and continued on there and earned his Masters in 1971. He taught at Assumption College and Clark University Graduate School of Management.

Russ worked for almost 34 years at Norton Company (now Saint-Gobain) in Worcester, retiring in 2008 as the Director Human Resources. He treasured the many friendships he made there that have continued on through the years.

For over 40 years Russ was active in the Southborough community serving on many boards and committees where he shared his experience in business and human resources. He most recently was serving on the Southborough Council on Aging, and had been a Trustee of the former Higgins Armory Museum along with a Cooperator of Bay State Savings Bank all of Worcester.

After retirement he formed a consulting firm, RBM Consulting, and continued to work until a few years ago.

Russ loved traveling with Jan, summers at Cape Cod, connecting with family and friends and in retirement, spending the snowy wintertime in sunny Florida. He especially loved spending time with his sons and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he leaves his sons, John Millholland and his wife Jessica of Braintree; Peter Millholland and his partner Rebecca Coldwell of Stow; his grandchildren; Amanda, Sophia and Evan and a great grandson Oliver. He also leaves his two sisters-in-law Theresa (Favreau) Maki and Elizabeth (Favreau) Wuebbolt, plus cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are on Thursday, April 21, from 4-7pm at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 22, at 10:30 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 26 Highland Street, Southborough. Burial will following at the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
