Mark your calendars – Troop 1’s annual Southborough Pancake Breakfast is back this spring. (In preparation, Boy Scouts have been knocking on doors, selling tickets.)
It’s the Boy Scout troop’s primary fundraiser. Proceeds from the event support activities like camping, hiking, and community service projects.
Last year, the troop had to partner with Mauro’s Village Cafe to offer a pre-ordered takeout version of the event.
This year, they’re back in person at the Neary School Cafeteria (53 Parkerville Road). They’ll be flipping and serving their own pancakes Sunday, April 10, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Scouts will be serving up the usual accompaniments – sausages, ham and beverages.
For the pancakes, you can top them with traditional pancake syrup. Or you can hit the toppings bar. (In the past, my kids’ loaded up plates tended to look more like make your own sundaes than a pancake breakfast!)
Tickets cost $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and kids 6-12, and children 5 and under eat for free.
Don’t worry if you didn’t see a scout at your door. You can buy tickets online here.
Thanks Beth, looking forward to it’s return
