[The Boston Marathon always includes a pack of runners from our town. Between now and Patriots Day, I’m featuring stories of resident runners donning bibs for a cause]
This is the fourth time Southborough’s Beth Delahunty is running in the Boston Marathon. She’s proud to share that she is again using the run to support a local ESL program for adults:
I am super excited to be running the Boston Marathon 2022 with Team Framingham to raise money for Foundation for Metrowest, Inc. (Adult ESL), which does great work for a cause that’s very close to my heart. As an ESL teacher in Framingham, many of my students’ parents take ESL classes through the organization.
Framingham Adult ESL Plus currently helps over 750 students to develop English fluency, literacy, numeracy, and computer literacy. There are hundreds more students on the ESL waitlist.
Your donation will go directly towards paying for a teacher or learning materials so that even more people can take advantage of these learning opportunities. If you can, please donate to this wonderful cause!
