Algonquin Girls Track came in 2nd place at the District E Championships last week. Priscilla De Carvalho won both the high jump and triple jump.
In the 400 meter hurdles, the Boys boasted 1st and 3rd place finishers (Gavin Moran and Miles Lipka). Their team came in 6th place overall. (See pics tweeted by ARHS Athletics and Ken Morin below.)
Boys Baseball was finally able to finish their game against Lincoln-Sudbury that was started on April 11th. The game started tied 10-10 and ended with a 12-11 Gonk win.
Algonquin teams suffered several losses last week, but there were also triumphs to trumpet:
- Boys Rugby beat Needham 41-7
- Boys Volleyball beat Marlborough, Fitchburg, and Framingham 3-0
- Girls Lacrosse beat Westborough 15-4 and Nashoba 20-6 (click here for Owen Jones’ photos)
- Boys Lacrosse beat Westfield 9-4
- Boys Tennis beat Shrewsbury and Wachusett 4-1
- Girls Tennis beat Hopedale 3-2
- Girls Softball beat Fitchburg 16-0
- Baseball beat Shepherd Hill 12-4
