There’s a second option this summer for kids/teens interested in Field Hockey.

Earlier this spring, I posted about Southborough’s Field Hockey Clinics for grades 5-12. There’s also a less intensive (and less expensive) clinic offered by Northborough Rec for overlapping grades. It may have special interest for some Southborough residents.

Northborough’s three day, morning Girls Field Hockey program is promoted as run by an Algonquin coach and takes place on the school’s fields:

Algonquin Field Hockey Clinic
Tues-Thurs, August 16-17, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm @ Algonquin Regional High School Fields
For Grades 3-9 – $150/session

This clinic is open to all playing abilities whether you are brand new or have experience. This clinic will focus on the basic fundamental skill sets, tactical play and small sided games. This program is open to all. (Click here to register)

The offering takes place during the third session of Southborough’s four day, full day clinics. For those interested in that option, below are those details again:

2022 Summer Field Hockey Clinic
Mon-Thurs, June 27-30, July 11-14, and August 15-18, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm @ 911 Memorial Field
For Grades 5-12 – $275/session

Our Field Hockey Clinics this summer focus on skills, drills, game tactics and lots of fun! Players will learn in a safe and fun environment where coaches will share their expertise in the sport of field hockey.

Clinics are open to all levels! (Click here to register)

It’s not the only Algonquin sports camp this summer. As I’ve previously posted there are also camps/clinics for Track & Field, Cheer, and Girls Volleyball. For details on those and other Southborough camps, click here.
