Another group has shared their big plans for Heritage Day. The Open Space Preservation Commission will be beckoning visitors to cross the street from the field.
OSPC will offer tours of its “Pollinator Preservation Garden” on the Southborough Library’s lawn. They’ll also be offering demos, plants, and tips to promote the use of native plants.
The Commisssion is promoting their “Heritage Day Pollinator Preservation Garden Tour and more” from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, October 10th. They’ll be set up next to the Library’s parking lot.
Join the Southborough Open Space Preservation Commission and volunteers from Native Plant Gardens of Southborough for a Garden Tour and learn about pollination preservation and how this garden is helping to protect at-risk pollinators from extinction.
OSPC members and volunteers will offer a tour of the garden, plus:
- Seed Collection
- Winter Sow Demo
- Drought Resistant Plants
- Sustainable Garden Practices
- Lawn Alternatives
- and Beautiful Flowers
It’s part of the OSPC’s ongoing efforts to promote the importance of using native plants to keep native pollinators from dying out.
