Southborough Youth and Family Services is promoting Anxiety Skills Training for 10-18 year olds.
Yesterday, I shared some of the news from SYFS’ latest bulletin. In the bulletin, the agency also reminded residents that they offer Mental Health Support.
Call us if you if you or someone you care about is struggling with mental health concerns. We are able to offer support to Southborough residents from a one time consultation up through ongoing counseling support while looking for an outside provider. We also offer some creative alternatives to outpatient counseling.
A flyer advertised the new program that appears to be one of those alternatives. The training program offers 1:1 coaching over 8-10 weeks to assess issues and “provide individualized tools and strategies for managing stress and anxiety.” It will cover sleep habits, exercise, diet, causes of anxiety, and coping strategies.
Anyone interested in signing their kids up for the program — or discussing any of SYFS’ resources for supporting mental health — is encouraged to call Assistant Director, Meaghan Eiland, at 508-481-5676 ext 2.
The November Bulletin also covers SYFS workshops and programs, their Fuel Assistance program, a reminder of their Winter Wishes drive, and ways to get involved in advanced planning for Mental Health Awareness month.
