A quick reference guide to when Town facilities are closed over the holiday break.
Thanksgiving is more than just a day of thanks. Most people — whether traveling, cooking, or hosting a gathering — take a little time off from work before and/or after the day. So it’s not surprising that municipal facilities will be closed for more than just Thursday.
Here’s what’s closing early and/or staying closed longer.

Southborough public schools
Schools get out early Wednesday. Closed through the weekend.
Senior Center
Closes at noon on Wednesday and remains closed through the weekend.
Library
It reopened today* and will be open for regular hours on Wednesday. Closed through the weekend.
Town House and Town Offices
Open for regular hours on Wednesday. Closed through the weekend.
Transfer Stations
Closed Thursday and Friday. Open for regular hours on Wednesday and Saturday.
*The Library was forced to close early on Monday. As of this morning, the heat appeared to be working properly and the building should be open for regular hours today (Tuesday).
