The community didn’t let the weather get in the way of a good time with Santa Claus and other Christmas festivities in Southborough on Saturday. Here are my photo highlights.
While the helicopter had to be cancelled due to wind gusts, Santa Claus and the Mrs were able to snag a ride from Southborough’s Fire Department. Despite the rain, a lot of families showed up and waited to visit the jolly old elf.
At the event put on by Southborough Kindergroup in the Community House, kids were able to hear a story from Mrs. Claus, drink hot cocoa and marshmallows, eat cookies, decorate ornaments, and visit with Santa to pose for pics while sharing their wish lists. Outside, they could enjoy character visits and face painting.
In other spots around Town, kids made ornaments at the Library and hung them on the Christmas tree near the Friends of the Library’s Holiday Book Sale. St. Mark’s Church held its annual Christmas Bazaar. Troop 92 held its annual Kids Shop at Pilgrim Church. And L’Abri Fellowship hosted a Holiday Art and Gift Sale.
While it was a very busy weekend for holiday festivities, there are still a lot more activities coming up in the next few weeks. For my list of Christmas/holiday activities, click here.
