If you’re looking to squeeze in some more seasonal joy before Christmas, there are light displays in town worth checking out.
(That’s assuming the high winds haven’t messed up any of the displays or the power they rely on!)
Several years ago, when I asked readers for homes worthy of a drive by, commenters enthusiastically recommended 150 Parkerville Road as the spot. I did check out the impressive view, but it appears that owners have upped the ante over the years. This week, MetroWest Daily News posted photos of the display with over 100,000 lights.
Adam Phaneuf told MWDN that they have been putting up the mega display for about 15 years and adding to it each year. He estimated it taking about 80 man hours to get them up. You can read (and see) more here.
It may be the most impressive yard, but it’s not the only sight to see.
The website Community Kangaroo has been sharing readers’ feedback on light displays in the region.
Light displays (including one timed with music) are confirmed for this year on Lorenzo Drive, Oregon Road, and Wyndemere Drive. For details, and displays in nearby towns, see their map here.
