Titans Girls Basketball lost at Notre Dame Academy 45-53 in overtime last Tuesday. But they rebounded to win both home games later that week — Nashoba 51-47 in overtime then Leominster 34-33.
According to a tweet from ARHS Athletics Katie Cullen shot the game winner against Leominster with 1.3 seconds left on the clock.
The Friday night win was after the most recent MIAA Power Rankings were released. They remain at #30, currently qualifying for the playoffs. (Slipping four slots would lose them that place.)
Gonk Boys Basketball has been moving in the wrong direction to make the playoffs. They are now another slot to 48th place. Last week they lost to Wachusett Regional 42-44 (before Friday morning’s updated rankings) and to Leominster 52-72 on Friday night. Their record stands at 6-6.
Boys Hockey slipped four rankings, but they remain well within the Division 2 playoffs bracket at #11. The rankings pre-dated the team’s latest win, 5-3 over Marlborough. Their record is now 9-2-2.
Girls Hockey was still ranked in 4th place on Friday. They subsequently lost their second game of the season to Pope Francis. Their next two games are vs Longmeadow, a team they beat early on this season.
This week, Titan’s Boys and Girls Swimming (and diving) and Indoor Track teams are heading into their league championships. Plus, Wrestling and Gymnastics are slated for multi-team competitions.
