A Trivia Night event host is promoting weekly quiz nights at a Southborough pub.
On Tuesday nights, from 8:00 – 10:00 pm, you can take part in the fun at the Owen O’Leary’s Restaurant & Pub, 50 Turnpike Rd.
Participants are told to expect about 60 trivia questions on a wide range of topics over the course of two hours.
The public is invited to come with a group or join a group there. The event page promotes:
Modeled after pub quizzes in Ireland and the U.K., Geeks Who Drink is an authentic homegrown trivia quiz. It’s a great way to drink with friends, without burning brain cells. And it’s where useless knowledge means everything.
Our quizzes cover everything from Hungary to The Hunger Games, from science to sports, from the Billboard Hot 100 to Better Call Saul.
Each quiz consists of seven rounds of eight questions each, in a variety of formats, including audio and visual rounds.
Teams can be up to six players, so bring your smartest friends (or some likable dummies)—or come solo. We can always help you join a team! No reservations needed, just show up!
Prizes awarded vary by venue, and none of the promotions specify what prizes are available at Owen O’Leary’s. The promo also highlights that it’s not just about the end-of-night winner:
Bonus questions sprinkled throughout the quiz will net you additional goodies. But mostly it’s about establishing your dominance—or at least pleasantly surprising yourself. You’re into that, right?
No age limit is specified, but the event is clearly targeted to adults.
