St. Mark’s Summer
The summer camp program run by St. Mark’s School is hiring for several seasonal positions. Most of these positions are 8:15 am – 4:15 pm weekdays from June 20 to August 18 with advance training earlier in June.
Preference is for employees able to commit to the whole season, but they will consider hirings some employees for part of the season.
Salaries start at $15/hour and go up based on the position and experience. Complementary lunch is included. Dependent children of camp staff will be allowed to attend camp for free.

- Seasonal Division Leaders (full-time)
To direct and lead one of our camp divisions including all campers, instructors, and staff. Must have leadership experience in a summer camp or education environment including staff supervision, and knowledge of and experience with children ages 4 – 14. College graduate preferred.
- Health Center Staff (full-time)
This position requires work prior to the start of the camp season. Must be certified in First Aid, AED, and CPR for adults/children and have experience with children and young adults. Must also have ability to originate, update, and/or monitor health care, maintain records, and implement a health care plan. Preference given to licensed registered nurse in the state of Massachusetts or Initial EMT, Advanced EMT, Paramedic certifications.
- Office and Operations (Office Manager/Assistant) (full-time)
Work in the Main Office of St. Mark’s Summer, assisting with the logistics of all SMS programs. Must have familiarity with computers and databases, preferably CampBrain, Google Drive, and Microsoft Excel.
- Aquatics Staff (Lifeguard/Swim Instructor) (full-time)
Must have lifeguarding, current CPR and first aid certifications by start of camp. Water safety instructor’s certification preferred.
- Activity Specialists (full-time)
Must have documented training and experience in specific activity area, and ability and experience in supervising staff and campers. (Seeking specialists for Adventure Challenge/Ropes Course, Archery, Arts & Crafts, Boating, Ceramics, Dance, Music, Nature and Camp Skills, Performing Arts, Sports & Games, and Woodworking.) College aged or College graduates preferred.
- Counselor (full-time)
Must be 17 or older at the start of employment with ability and experience in supervising staff and campers. (17 year olds need a work permit.)
- Extended Day Staff (part-time/add-on)
Supervise games, activities, and the arrival/dismissal of Extended Day participants from any of our St. Mark’s Summer programs. This positions may be held concurrently with another St. Mark’s Summer role, or as a separate position for those looking for part-time work. Shifts are 7:30 – 9:00 am and/or 4:00 – 5:00 pm, and could rotate for different days of the week.
