The Southborough Gardeners are promoting their annual scholarship program. Applications are due Tuesday, April 11.
The town-based club will award $1,000 in assistance this year. (They may award it to one student or divide it between two.)
Based on one of the criteria, it sounds like the opportunity is available not just to high school seniors, but also former graduates who are continuing to pursue education in a relevant field.
Take note if a student you know is planning to study any of the following fields:
- Floral Design
- Landscape Design
- Horticulture
- Environmental Studies
- Ecology
- Conservation
- Agriculture
- a “related field”
The applicant must have been a resident of Southborough for at least 2 years and accepted at a school of higher education in one of the listed fields of study.
Students must complete their application and provide a separate applicant appraisal form completed by a selected adult. In addition, students must include a copy of their high school or post-secondary school transcript.
Applications are due on April 11, 2023 and should be sent either by mail to Southborough Gardeners, PO Box 184, Southborough, MA 01772, or by email to southboroughgardeners@gmail.com.
You can open an application & appraisal form here or pick up a copy at the Southborough Library or the Algonquin Guidance Department.
