Two more candidates have pulled papers to run for the Select Board this spring.
While I’m updating on races, I’ll remind that the last chance to pull papers to run for a seat this spring is a week from today — Friday, March 17th.
As for the Select Board race, David Parry and Brett Peters now join Albena Phillipo and Al Hamilton as potential candidates for the two seats.
So far, that’s one of only three* races shaping up for the May ballot. The second is for the School Committee, where the three candidates for two seats have all filed their papers to run.
The one possible vacancy I worried about no longer seems to be an issue. Elizabeth Sanford Zulick pulled papers to run for the Board of Health.
For a reminder of what offices are on the ballot, see my prior post.
*Updated (3/16/23 2:41 pm): I originally referred to two races. At the time of this post, I had failed to notice that a third race was brewing for Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds. Back in February, Sam Stivers filed papers to run for the seat currently occupied by Bill Boland. On March 7th, Boland pulled papers to run for re-election.
