Southborough’s Friends of Council on Aging are asking the community to support their fundraiser. 50% of the sales from flower bulbs will benefit the non-profit that benefits activities and amenities for seniors.
The deadline for purchasing bulbs through the fundraiser is April 1st.
You can place an order online through the Dutch Mill Bulbs website or pick up a brochure with order form at the Southborough Senior Center (or the Southborough Library) to return/mail in to the Senior Center by the deadline.
If you are purchasing (through this link or the QR code above right) be sure to enter Friends of Southborough Council on Aging in the field for which cause you are seeking to benefit. (See image left.)
The Friends of Southborough COA promotes that funds raised by their 501(c)3 non-profit support:
many activities and amenities at the Senior Center to the benefit of all Seniors. Some of the activities FRIENDS support are bus trips, Senior Center holiday parties, Trailblazers hiking group, Dull Men’s Group, Walkers Challenge and so much more.
The fundraising website provides the following 18 choices of “bulbs and rooted perennials” that can be planted this spring or summer:
- Good Luck Shamrocks
- Strawberries
- Harlequin Flowers
- Spring Allium Mix
- Anemone De Caen
- Four O’Clock Mix
- Spectacular Gladiolus Mix

It’s also a good time to remind any Friends who haven’t yet renewed their membership for 2023 (or anyone who wants to become a member) you can do that using the form on the back page of the Senior Center’s newsletter.
