For many readers, Easter is about more than bunnies and baskets filled with candy. I’m sharing details below on special services the churches in town are holding today (Good Friday) through Easter Sunday.
First, almost all of the parishes promote the United Parishes of Southborough’s annual Easter Sunrise Service. That takes place at Hopkinton State Park in the marina area at 6:30 am.
Now here is the information that Southborough churches have posted about the remainder of Holy Week. (I’m listing them in alphabetical order.)

Our Easter Sunday 11:00 worship service, takes place in a sanctuary adorned with lilies and daffodils and includes singing the triumphant hymns of the resurrection.

- 10:00 a.m. – “In-Person Worship & Kids Church – Guest musicians will be joining us from New England Conservatory in a brass quartet and Jim Duncan on organ. We will also be inviting the congregation to join in singing the Messiah’s Hallelujah Chorus at the end of service.”

We hope that you’ll join us for the most solemn 8 days in Christianity—Holy Week and Easter. . .
On Good Friday we begin at 11 am with a special stations of the cross reading for kids which includes the snuffing of candles. We end with the “15th Station” of Jesus’ resurrection so kids know what is to come on Easter. At noon we do the Stations for Adults processing from station to station in our church. At 7pm, we partake in the solemn Good Friday liturgy at 7pm.
Our week concludes on the 8th day with Jesus’ mighty resurrection on Easter Day—April 9! We have services on our usual schedule of Church on the 45s!
