Here are the latest results from Algonquin varsity sports (with links to more details) followed by the upcoming schedule for the week.
Girls Lacrosse is still undefeated six games into the season. Their latest victories were 19-9 over Bromfield 14-6 over Westborough, and 11-7 over Nashoba.
Grafton broke Boys Lacrosse’s winning streak (7-4). Their subsequent 8-6 win over Nashoba improved their record to 4-1.
Baseball now stands at 3-3 following two more losses (0-4 to Westborough and 3-4 to Shrewsbury) sandwiched by two more wins (3-0 over Nashoba and 6-1 over Auburn).
Girls Golf lost 29-5 to Ayer Shirley but beat Notre Dame 20.5-33.5.
Softball continued its defeated streak. The team lost to North Middlesex 18-1, Nashoba 14-1, and Auburn 10-2.
Both tennis teams are now at 3-2. The Boys lost to Westborough (4-1) but beat Dover-Sherborn (3-2). The Girls beat Advanced Math & Science Academy (4-1) but lost to both Westborough (5-0) and Dover-Sherborn (4-1).
Boys Volleyball is 2-4 after losing to North Middlesex 3-0, but finally scoring two wins (3-0 over Marlborough and 3-0 over Framingham).
Outdoor Track traveled to Wachusett where the Boys won 84-62 and the Girls lost 75-70.
No Rugby results were posted, but my sources tell me the Boys beat Cambridge Rindge & Latin 36-17 while the Girls lost to Belmont.
