- Yoga on the Trails for Adults (9:00 – 10:00 am) @ Sudbury Reservoir Trail: A free yoga session hosted by the Trails Committee. This free event is in support of Southborough’s Mental Health Awareness Month efforts. For details, see dedicated post. - Early Childhood Fair (10:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Finn School gym, 60 Richards Road: Free event for families with kids 0-5 yrs old. Parents will learn about community resources and kids will enjoy activities, the Bumble Bus and more. For details, see dedicated post.
- Virtual Cooking Lesson (12:00 – 1:30 pm) @ zoom: Learn to cook Burmese Curry Noodles. Part of the Southborough Library’s free virtual cooking series. Pre-registration is required, and registered participants will receive a shopping list in advance to prepare for the class. For details, see related post.
- Shifstrong Home Run Derby (12:00 pm – 5:00 pm) @ Mooney Field/Finn School, 60 Richards Road: 2nd annual softball and baseball batting competition fundraiser for ALS ONE in memory of late youth coach Brian Shifrin. For details, see dedicated post.
- Southborough Democratic Caucus (1:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Southborough Democrats will hold a public meeting to elect delegates to the annual MassDems convention, which will follow in September. Any registered Democrat may vote, and the general public at large is welcome.
- Southborough Safe Spaces – PJ Movie Night (7:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church, 15 Common St: Event for grades 6-12 hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth of all faiths and their allies. Join us this Saturday for a relaxed movie-pajama-pizza party! For details, see their Facebook post.

- Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
- Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Bi-monthly social knitting group. Beginners are welcome and supplies will be provided, though you can also bring your own and “any creation you are working on”. - Cook Book Club (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Each month, participants are encouraged to pick a recipe to make from a selected cookbook. Bring the dish to share at a gathering at the Library. New participants encouraged and all ages and partners welcome. For details, see related post.
- Neary Band Concert (7:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: 4th & 5th grade band and orchestra students’ end of year concert.
- Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

- Food Truck Festival (3:30 pm – 7:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Field (corner of Route 30 & 85): Four dinner trucks and one ice cream truck will be parked on the downtown field. There is no admission fee, just the cost of food. Part of the series organized by the Southborough Rotary Club on four Wednesdays. For details, see dedicated post.
- Teen Library Team (5:00 – 6:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: The library is looking for teen ideas for programs and services! Teens committed to making their voices heard are invited to a monthly library leadership meeting. Attending these meetings can count toward volunteering. This is for youth ages 13 -19. - Listen with L.O.V.E. (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ where: Workshop hosted by Southborough Youth & Family Services on the art of communication in relationships. They will address some of the challenges and review critical elements of successful communication. Registration required. For details click here.
- Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

- Preschool Farm Explorers (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: For ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years old, Adult supervision required (discount for younger siblings and siblings under 1 yr old can attend for free) Your little farm explorers will become fully immersed in what life is like here at Chestnut Hill. - Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: This weekly story time is for children age 0-2 years and their parents or caregivers. Each session will include puppets, stories, and music. No registration required.
- Drop-In Lego building (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Room: Drop by the library to build with Legos! Best for ages 4 and up. Kids can display their finished creations in the Children’s Room. Legos will be provided by the library. No registration required.
- Trottier Orchestra & Band Concert (7:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: 6th – 8th grade band and orchestra students’ end of year concert.

- Kids Jam (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Lawn: Kids are invited to dance and sing along to a variety of traditional and popular children’s songs Best for newborns through preschool age. - Friends’ Summer Book Sale (10:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: The Friends of the Southborough Library’s annual fundraiser. Buy used books, DVDs and CDs at a low cost. One free book per child. Includes a Bake Sale.
- Art on the Trails Installations (10:00 am – 5:00 pm) @ Beals Preserve: The Southborough Open Land Foundation invites the general public to walk the preserve trails and watch artists install their work for the 7th annual Art on the Trails exhibit. Stay tuned for details.
- Worcester Sheriff’s Senior Picnic (11:00 am – 1:00 pm) @ SAC Park, 438 Lake St, Shrewsbury: 60+ year old residents are invited to pickup a free BBQ boxed lunch, goodie bags, and giveaways from the Worcester County Sherriff’s office. Registration is required. For details, see dedicated post.
- Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough Library: This week’s session coincides with “World Wide Knit in Public Day”. The Biweekly drop-in program for ages 18+ encourages knitters to work on their latest knitting or crochet projects in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
- Finding Fungi Guided Mushroom Hike (4:00 – 5:30 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Learn methods beginners can use to identify and group similar fungi together, plus tips and tricks for locating mushrooms in seemingly barren forests and fields. Pre-registration (and fee) required. For details, click here.

I’m very late to publicize this! My bad!
Local Democrats will hold our annual caucus on Sat. June 3 at the Southborough Public Library. The purpose of the caucus is to elect delegates to represent us at the annual convention, which will be held Sept. 23 in Lowell.
The meeting is open to the public, as the library and the Massdems charter both require. Registered Democrats may vote at the caucus.
