Trottier Middle School is seeking to fill their Assistant Principal position. Stacey Mahoney, the current Asst. Principal, is moving up to the head job at another NSBORO school — Proctor Elementary School in Northborough.
I was surprised to see that the district was advertising the job opening. So I reached out to find out what was happening. The office shared the message from Principal Gary Hreschuk sent to parents last night through the Parent Square app:
I am writing to inform you of an important personnel update within our school community. With mixed emotions, I share the news that Assistant Principal Stacy Mahoney will leave her current position to accept a principal position at Proctor Elementary School in Northborough. Over the past three and half years, Mrs. Mahoney has played a vital role in our school, dedicating her time, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the growth and success of our students. Mrs. Mahoney’s contributions have greatly impacted the school community, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. She has built many wonderful connections with our students and families. I feel fortunate that she will remain within the Northborough- Southborough school district, as I have seen her positive impact on Trottier. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Mahoney.
I want to assure you that the school administration is actively working to ensure a smooth transition for our students, staff, and families. We have initiated a comprehensive search process to identify and select a highly qualified individual to fill the position. I will provide updates as this process begins
The opening was posted by the district on June 9th for a July 1st start date. It will remain up until the job is filled.
Mahoney joined the Trottier leadership team in February 2020. (One month before Covid created massive new challenges for the schools.) That opening was created based on Hreschuk’s promotion to Principal.
It appears the opportunity for her new role opened earlier this spring. In April, Framingham announced that they were hiring Procter’s current principal, Alana Cyr, as Principal of Potter Road Elementary School.
