A local baseball team with many players from Southborough or Algonquin Regional asked me to encourage readers to attend their local home games. (I’m sure they’d love to see friendly faces at their away games, too!)
American Legion Post 234 Northboro sponsors a team of high school and freshman year of college baseball players from the surrounding towns.
Attendance at the games is free. (Though they always welcome donations to support youth baseball.) There are eight more regular season games including two this week. The next home game (at Memorial Field in Northborough) is next week.
Playoffs follow in July, and they seem likely to make the cut. The team’s record is currently 7-3 and they’re first in their division (6-2).
