If you enjoy “high-energy classic rock”, mark your calendar to attend the next Southborough Summer Concert.
The South Street Band is scheduled to rock out on the Neary stage next week. The band promotes that they perform “your favorite danceable [classic rock hits] from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s!”:
Featuring both female and male vocalists, our setlist covers a wide range of artists such as AC/DC, Aerosmith, Boston, The Doobie Brothers, Foreigner, Janis Joplin, Joan Jett, Journey, Led Zeppelin, Pat Benatar, REO Speedwagon, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen, and many more!
You can get a taste of that from the video the band compiled with clips from one of their concerts last summer here.
The Southborough concert will take place Wednesday July 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on the outdoor stage and field at Neary School, 53 Parkerville Road.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and enjoy a picnic. Bring your own dinner or purchase one from that night’s food truck. (Stay tuned for word as to who the vendor will be.)
Still to follow this summer are the following acts:
- July 26 – Stacey Peasley (Kids performance)
- August 2 – Messy Excuses
- August 9 – Jumpin’ Juba
The series is sponsored by The Southborough Community Fund, Friends of Southborough Recreation, and Southborough Cultural Arts Council (funded through the Mass Cultural Council).
