The Open Space Preservation Commission is seeking volunteers for a “Garden Workday” at the Southborough Library’s Pollination Preservation Garden.
The event is scheduled for this Saturday, July 22nd from 8:30 to 10:30 am at the garden near the Library’s parking lot on Marlboro Road.
OSPC promotes:
Help us weed and plant maybe even collect seeds. Learn the value of the plants chosen for this garden to help our native butterflies and bees. Find out how you can become a member of the garden caretaker team.
Come for as long as you’re available. Wear a hat, gloves sunscreen and insect repellant. Bring water to drink. And any hand garden tools you can. We will have some to share.
Be prepared to have fun
The Library’s garden was created by the OSPC as a public showcase to promote that flowers beneficial to native pollinators can also be beautiful additions/alternatives for residents’ own gardens/landscaping.
