Tomorrow marks the end of most camps in our area. And schools resume two weeks from today. For those looking to make the most of the last days of summer I’ve compiled links to help.
But you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy all the summer fun in our area.
Most of these are stories from this summer that you may have missed. A few are topics I planned to cover, but never managed to this year.

Make use of some of Southborough’s recreational facilities
- Playgrounds (With Neary’s camp ending today and Woodward’s ending tomorrow, all of the school playgrounds will be available dawn to dusk until school resumes. Town playgrounds always are.)
- Town tennis/pickle courts
- Other athletic facilities include a beach volleyball court, running track and more.
Enjoying cool fun on hot or wet days
- Splash pads and local beaches open for play (Hopkinton had been closed to swimming, but on of its beaches reopened this week.)
- Where to cool off (or stay dry) while still having fun
Explore other Area outdoor fun
- Art on the Trails at Beals Preserve
- Other walking trails in town
- StoryWalks around town (including one for older kids through adults)
- Farmers Markets that surround us
- Picking Summer Fruit
- Area biking trails and parks for all ages
Head to a museum, park, or movies
- Southborough Library discount pass program
- Free museums – a different one each day courtesy of the Highland Street Foundation
- $2 Kids’ Movies at Solomon Pond Mall on Tues & Wed mornings
